Fashion is something that affects everyone, even in ways that we might not realize at first. While most people don’t have to worry about the logistics of how they put on their clothing and how it impacts their movements, many people with disabilities do have to take this into consideration. Kornit’s unique printing technology is playing a role in the deliberate design of clothing that can meet the needs of people with disabilities.

A recent collaboration between Palta and the WIZO Haifa Academy of Design and Education saw Kornit garment printers used in the creation of collections for people with disabilities. Palta is an inclusive apparel research and design company that Kornit has previously collaborated with on Olympic uniform designs. The WIZO Haifa Academy of Design and Education is a leading college of art in Israel that provides many unique and ambitious courses.

One of the latest courses focused on inclusive design and was developed and implemented with the help of Palta founder Shay Senior. This incredible workshop opportunity was the first of its kind, highlighting the design considerations that go into developing clothing that truly meets the needs of people with disabilities.
