Industry-leading 3D print capabilities offer never-seen graphic and functional applications on demand, unleashing creativity with sustainability, efficiency

Kornit Digital has been named among honorees receiving a 2021 European Digital Press Association (EDP) Award for technology innovation. In bestowing this award, the organization cited Kornit’s XDi technology, made available in 2021 via the Kornit Atlas MAX system for industrial direct-to-garment production on demand and Kornit Presto MAX system for roll-to-roll direct-to-fabric embellishment.

Kornit is a multi-year recipient of the EDP Award, having been previously honored for the Company’s Robusto Softener and Avalanche Poly Pro innovations.

Kornit XDi technology offers the first sustainable, single-step digital textile print capability to achieve 3D, threadless embroidery, dye sublimation, and heat transfer graphic effects using a single system. As included in the Company’s Atlas MAX and Presto MAX systems, this technology empowers brands and fulfillers to offer new and innovative product applications, on demand. Users can deliver high-density impressions, simulate patches, and transform 2D designs into ready-to-print 3D imagery, creating stunning visuals with new and unique textures. This includes the capability to add multiple such effects to a single piece, in one pass.

According to EDP’s Technical Committee, “This is a real innovation for garment printing; the XDi technology adds value to the print, especially for e-commerce platforms. This is an interesting extension of the possibilities for DTG.”

“As we write the operating system for sustainable on-demand fashion and textiles globally, our leadership in what digital production systems can actually do will always be the core of our value for customers, and we are honored to receive this award for our XDi technology,” said Omer Kulka, Kornit Digital’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Every step we take reflects a commitment to delivering efficient, low-waste, highly profitable experiences for our customers—experiences that raise the game for textiles as an industry, unleashing creative possibilities while answering the sustainability imperative. Kornit’s XDi technology enables never-before-seen production capabilities, which will yield entirely new graphic and functional applications for the marketplace.”
